3 Simple Foods and Snacks To Eat To Burn Belly Fat

You know one of the questions I get asked a lot is what do you eat to lose your belly fat? What are the BEST foods to eat?…

Well, there a loads of great foods to eat to lose belly fat.

Here are some:

  • Eggs (boiled, poached and even fried sometimes)
  • Cabbage and broccoli
  • Peaches, pears and pineapples
  • Nuts

So there you have it…..nah just kidding!!! I won’t just leave it like that…

This post is about 3 types of food combinations that you can use right now to start burning belly fat.

You can eat these any time in the day and they are SO SIMPLE to put together you may be thinking I am joking around…

But these are POWERFUL little recipes to use…because not only are they tasty enough to eat they also help you replace cravings for other sweet stuff with something that gives you 10 times the benefit.

You should realise that eating foods like these is going to literally start burning the fat…why?

Well, the better the food you eat the more your body uses it for giving you energy…and because your body naturally burns fat, these fat stores are not being added to like they used to when you ate more sugary foods….

The result, your total fat starts to go down…and this is not even taking into considering what your exercise is going to do!!!

So here we go – 3 simple meal ideas you can eat to lose fat:

1) Peaches, pears and walnuts

Get some of those plastic tubs of fruit that you find in the supermarket these days. They have pieces of fruit in juice and that’s all. They are resealable and last about 10 days.

So put about 4 or 5 pear pieces and 4 or 5 peach pieces in a bowl and sprinkle about 4 or 5 walnuts, crushed over them. You may want to add some cinnamon if you have it.

(If you can’t eat nuts then you could add some apple slices or just some cinnamon)

2) Wholemeal toast, sliced banana and honey

Take 2 bits of wholemeal bread, toast them, spread some honey over the bread (not too much now) and add some sliced banana.

I have sliced toast with banana everyday, mostly with just buttery spread on the toast. Occasionally I like to add in the honey.

What this snack does is help you replace white bread for toast in the morning…because this snack tastes WAY better with wholemeal bread!!!

3) Crushed up or mashed carrots and parsnips with some broccoli or cabbage and herbs

This little recipe is what I have for my veg at dinner time. You get a small saucepan, and add some peeled and chopped carrots and parsnips (I normally add one large parsnip and one large carrot or two smaller carrots).

Then pour some cold water over them just so it almost covers them.

Then add in a small slice of butter…yes plain old butter.

You then put the lid on the saucepan, and put it on high heat to boil the water.

Leave it to boil and keep it boiling. From time to time take the lid off and with a fork, check if the carrots and parsnips are going soft. When they are, crush them with the fork.

Also at this point, add in some broccoli or cabbage. The water should be reducing slightly but still put the lid on again.

After 3 minutes take the lid of and let the water reduce completely.

The steam will cook the broccoli yet everything else stays contained within the pan, so you don’t lose the goodness.

Once the water has boiled away (if you have gauged it right…otherwise just strain some off but learn to get the right amount of water for maximum benefit)…let the mixture sit for a minute to slightly catch on the pan, and brown…but just for a minute so it doesn’t burn too much.

Add in your herbs, either Italian Seasoning or Herbes De Provence (my favorite!) and serve…

What you get here is 3 veg in one go and you don’t lose any of their goodness because you aren’t draining all the water away!!!

So there you go…3 little recipes that involve good food. For number 3 you may wonder why you add butter as this is fat. Well, you do have to add in some fat to your diet AND it does help the recipe…you can use some low fat spread if you want…it works just as well…

Well then…simple recipes…maximum effect…and no added sugar to boot.

Now if you’re still reading this and thinking I’ll try that…don’t stop there!
