Here’s an interesting question for you: if you could change one thing to lose belly fat what would it be?
What I’m talking about here is not what you should change…what I mean is what’s the one big thing in your head that you think you need to change to lose that fat?
What food do you think you need to cut out RIGHT NOW? What type of exercise do you HAVE to do to lose fat because in your mind it’s the only way to lose it?
You probably know what I’m talking about. When you tried to lose weight before you did something that worked. At least for a while. Then life seemed to get really busy and you couldn’t keep up with it.
Maybe it was the cabbage diet or salads for lunch. Or maybe you flirted with the idea of Atkins, piling on the meat at every opportunity.
It could be those running sessions with mates at work that you did every Thursday. Even when it was raining like an Indiana Jones film.
Whatever it was that you did to lose belly fat, even just a little bit, try and think what it was?
Now here’s the head twister:
That one thing, that one idea is HOLDING you back from losing belly fat now
Yep. That idea that worked in the past and that you are trying to repeat based on a memory of what happened is holding you back to try something else.
Some other technique that is more permanent and you will stick with.
You see the biggest obstacle that you have to overcome is your STORY about fat loss. The one you tell yourself everyday and the one that you use as a reference when you find some other information that contradicts it.
That feeling of “well it sounds interesting…but I’d rather sit on the FENCE”
Well that fence is what keeps the fat on. It’s why you aren’t losing belly fat even though you are going to the gym and trying to eat healthily. You keep thinking that this is going to work when in fact it won’t unless you know one other thing:
